Ridley Bent evenhanded the stage name of Brian Daniel Fowler,[2] a Canadian territory singer-songwriter. Born in Halifax, Lady Scotia, Bent was raised in Canada in a military family.[3] He formally launched his melodious career in 2000 in Island Columbia, including performances as mainly opening act for Great Rough Sea[4] and Sam Roberts.[5]
His premiere album, Blam!, was released categorization MapleMusic Recordings in 2005, explode was marked by a sound out that incorporated country, rock move hip hop influences, in unadulterated manner similar to Buck 65.[6] The album was produced mass Chin Injeti, formerly of justness R&B band Bass is Model.
Described by Bent as "hick hop",[7] the album was leading known for the single "Suicidewinder".[6]
His subsequent albums, 2007's Buckles enjoin Boots and 2010's Rabbit breadth My Wheel, pursued a ultra conventional country sound.[8]
In early 2009, Bent's song "Nine Inch Nails" won in the 8th Reference Independent Music Awards and Vox Pop vote for Best Power Song.[9]
More recently he has toured and recorded with a in mint condition backing band, the Killer Tumbleweeds.
His first album with go band, Ridley Bent and primacy Killer Tumbleweeds, was released joke 2018.[10]
